A selection of new pastels and oils of rainy cityscapes and sunny Caribbean scenes will be on view at Sarah's Wine Bar in Ridgefield, CT through the summer.

    Pastel artist Eden Compton is originally from Connecticut and currently divides her time between the Northeast, Florida and the Caribbean where she and her husband live aboard a sailboat.

In addition to holding a B.A. in Art History from Colgate University., Eden has studied with Master Pastelists Doug Dawson, Alan Flattman and Lois Wooley.  She has also studied photography at the International Center for Photography in New York City. 

Prior to becoming a full time professional artist, Eden had a successful career in advertising working on major accounts at worldwide agencies in New York.  She is also a professionally trained chef with a culinary degree from the French Culinary Institute.

Eden is a member of the Connecticut Pastel Society, the CT Portrait Society and a juried member of the Degas Pastel Society,  Her work is in private collections across the country
