The evening begins with a cooking demonstration by Chefs Bernard & Sarah of an hors d'oeuvre, appetizer, entree & dessert - then you move into the dining room and EAT what we just showed you ! The demo is usually from about 6:45 - 8:00 or 8:15 - we know its a Tuesday night so we do try to keep it moving along!

Jon Burr & Friends
Jon Burr – Bass, Lynn Stein – vocals, Harry Allen – tenor sax, Matt Ray - piano
Last Sunday of every month
An acclaimed bassist, songwriter and bandleader, Jon Burr has performed and recorded with some of the most famous figures in jazz, including Chet Baker, Stan Getz, Stephane Grapelli , and Tony Bennett. He has numerous Broadway and cabaret credits, including performances with Eartha Kitt and Barbara Cook, and has headlined at Birdland and the Blue Note. Lynn Stein is the vocal side of the bass/vocal duo Jon and Lynn, which focuses on original renderings of jazz and pop compositions. Her 2011 CD release, "Softly", is a collection of mainstream jazz standards recorded with Jon Burr (bass), Matt Ray (piano), Warren Vache (trumpet), and John Hart (guitar). Harry Allen has been described by jazz writer C. Michael Bailey as, "a practitioner of such dense talent he sounds as if he invented tenor saxophone performance instead of Coleman Hawkins and Lester Young. Allen is the Frank Sinatra of the tenor saxophone: a master interpreter of standards".
With numerous film score, theater and cabaret, piano, and vocal performance credits, Matt Ray is known in New York as a versatile artist. His album, "We Got It!", was one of the most played jazz CD's in America in 2002, climbing to #12 on the jazz radio airplay charts. His recent CD, "Lost in New York", was released to wide critical acclaim.

Lenny Moskowitz
November - January
Lenny Moskowitz is a Connecticut landscape painter who lives in New Haven with his wife. He graduated with his B.F.A from the Philadelphia College of Art and received his M.F.A. from Michigan's Cranbrook Academy. Lenny has participated in group and solo shows at numerous galleries and has taught classes and workshops in Connecticut, Block Island. Presently he teaches at Quinnipiac University.
He has been awarded several artist in residencies, such as the Anderson Center in Michigan and NISDA Foundation on Nantucket, MA. He makes yearly painting trips to Maine, as well as frequent sojourns to the surrounding Connecticut woods to paint the landscapes.
